Condition Assessment Prioritization & Cost Optimization Under CMOM

Abstract
This course covers the EPA’s proposed Capacity, Management, Operation and Maintenance (CMOM) requirements and how they will affect utilities. Condition assessment and defect prioritization under CMOM are discussed, as well as how these activities support an asset management program. Cost optimization approaches for evaluating capital improvement alternatives are also a course focus. In addition, presentations address setting hydraulic capacity protocols, permitting considerations for sanitary sewer overflows, and the Sewer Evaluation and Capacity Assurance Plan (SECAP).

Benefits
This course will enable attendees to develop a broad understanding of CMOM requirements, allowing them to more effectively apply the regulations at their respective utilities. The attendee will also be exposed to some of the newest technologies for condition assessment prioritization and cost optimization.

Prerequisites
Understanding of basic hydraulics and components of a sanitary sewer system.
